Last week, we had a parent visit Year 3 to teach us some basic signing.
Year 6 took part in a Tri-Golf tournament at Kingsmeadow Community Comprehensive School. Two teams of 10 pupils took part from 6 Cedar and 6 Birch. Everyone tried their best and 6 Birch were successful in coming third and 6 Cedar came 6th. Well done for participating...
This week Year 6 have been investigating the brightness of bulbs in circuits. We planned, predicted and recorded our observations. We cooperated very well with each other.
Recently, Year 6 took part in the Athletics Awards at Gateshead Stadium. Everyone tried their best in the following events: shot put, vortex throw, long jump, long distance run and sprint. The weather held up for us and a great time was had by all!
Some of our Year 2 children competed in the Gateshead Key Steps 1 competition today. They performed brilliantly in front of the judges and were awarded 3rd place! The children also enjoyed learning some new skills on the trampolines, balance beams and tracks. Well...
Our Science topic for this half term is plants. We have enjoyed planting our own sunflower seeds and we can't wait to watch them grow!
