Year 2 have been learning about the life and disappearance of Amelia Earhart. We examined different pieces of evidence including photographs, newspaper articles and reports from scientists. Then we made our final report about what we think happened to Amelia Earhart...
This afternoon, we have been looking at the parts of a flowering plant. In our books we sketched our flower and labelled both the male and female parts.
This week Reception have made the most of the sunshine in the Reception garden. Fun was had by all from making mud hot chocolate to watering the plants.
We had great fun creating our own egg box caterpillars in Reception this week.
In Science, we were looking at how plants transport water. We tried to prove that the stem is the part of the plant that transports water around it. We used a stick of celery and we put it in some coloured water. Two days later, we observed the inside of the celery...
Year 2 enjoyed using scales to measure the mass of different objects in our classrooms. Before measuring them, we guessed whether each object would be more or less than 1kg. We recorded our results in a table.
